Heart Assisted Therapy Learning Channel

The HAT Learning Channel will provide an opportunity for you to learn and enhance your knowledge and your skills in using Heart Assisted Therapy (HAT) in your licensed health-care practice.

All of the video training materials were derived from live workshops taught by John H. Diepold, Jr., Ph.D., the originator and developer of HAT. The videos are offered at the Basic and Advanced levels of study. Each level involves two full days of recorded live workshop presentations including actual questions and answers and demonstrations by Dr. Diepold.

At the completion of each two-day workshop, you will need to complete a learning experience feedback form. Upon completion, you can download your individual Certificate of Completion.

In-lieu of traveling and being physically present for the two, 7-hour days for the Basic Clinical Skills workshop, you will be able to learn at your own pace and in the comfort of your home or office. The same holds true for the Advanced Applications workshop. Please know that each day of the workshops are less than 7 hours. This is a result of time the participants spent practicing HAT, which was not recorded. For your planning purposes, here are the breakdowns:

Basic: Total time is 8 hours and 25 minutes. Day One is 4 hours and 47 minutes. Day Two is 3 hours and 38 minutes.

Advanced: Total time is 7 hours and 38 minutes. Day One is 4 hours and 5 minutes. Day Two is 3 hours and 33 minutes.

While these particular recordings took place several years ago, 99.9% of the content is currently taught. The 0.1% pertains to a small optional tweak in the HAT protocol of allowing two respirations (instead of just one) before switching hands and repeating the Acceptance Statement. You will quickly understand what this means as you view the workshops.

Dr. Diepold has been using HAT in daily clinical practice, evolving the protocol based on patient observations and feedback, and teaching HAT since 2006. The book, Heart Assisted Therapy (Diepold, 2018), serves as an in-depth manual in the development, study, and use of HAT and makes for an excellent adjunct study guide.

The Heart Assisted Therapy Learning Channel will also offer opportunities to view video-recorded live HAT therapy sessions by Dr. Diepold. The patients in these sessions have given consent for me to use their therapy for learning purposes only. In responsibly and ethically honoring the generosity of these individuals, the therapy videos can only be seen after you have completed the Basic and Advanced workshops. There will be more information about this.
